Frequently Asked Questions

A: We specialize in Kitchen and Bath design, but we also consult on other interior spaces. Typically, these spaces are in addition to a kitchen / bath re-model.

A: The cost will depend on the size and scope of the project. We recommend creating a list of must-haves like new cabinetry, new appliances, adding an island, built in seating, etc. All of these things will impact the budget for your project.

A: Yes, it is completely feasible to achieve an updated look without completely demo-ing your kitchen or bath, but it is important to keep in mind that working around existing elements limits the design possibilities and does not always save you money.

A: Yes! We believe that design is subjective, and our goal is to bring your design vision to life. We leverage our expertise and knowledge to create a space that is functional and well-designed with your personal aesthetic in mind.

A: One of the first questions we ask is what is your budget, and we compare that to your scope of work to inform you if the budget is realistic. Remember, sometimes your budget guides how close we can get to your desired look, but we are here to inform and guide you from our very first point of contact, so don't hesitate to reach out to us.

A: A spec book is a compilation of specifications sheets detailing all the materials, appliances, fixtures, finishes selected for your project. A core part of our design process is the development of a detailed spec book with supporting drawings to guide your contractor through the bidding and implementation of your project.

A: I advise my clients and design build partners (i.e. your general control and their subcontractors) to never start a demo until all approved specified materials have been ordered and allocated to us. Product availability fluctuates, and we never want you to be without a kitchen or bath any longer than you have to. Starting a demo before all goods are in our possession limits our options if re-selects are necessary, and sometimes those re-selects impact other design elements in the space. It is a trickle down scenario that is completely avoidable.
